My aim is to help companies and individuals use their online pressence as effectively as possible to further their aims. Every case is different and requires a unique solution. I seek to be part of the process of defining your objectives and creating strategies and tools to help you achieve them.

There is much more to the creation of an effective online presence than an individual website. There are many opportunities available through participating in existing social networks and using existing platforms to communicate with your audience.

Visual design and branding

How you present yourself is important, particularly when you are not able to deliver the message in person. Branding is not just logos and visual identity it is also about how you convey your message. The choice of things like fonts and colours carry implications with them. Many small decisions come together to create your visual identity. By making these decisions mindfully you can create a powerful impression of your company or yourself quickly and effectively.

I can help you create an effective and distinctive visual presence, translate your offline branding to online media and help you present your branding on third-party site profiles. A strong visual identity helps your audience connect with you quickly allowing you to communicate with them more fully.

Content strategy

A place to say something is just the beginning. What you say and how you say it is crucial. The content of your website and messages through outside services is crucial. It is all to easy to focus on the creation of the medium and forget the message. A website or a Twitter account is only a means to communicate.

Discovering what to present is not always simple. There are many questions to consider, who will create your content, how much time will it take, how will you measure its effect and so on. I can help you create a sustainable and effective strategy to create content for your online presence.

Social media communication

The use of services like Twitter and Facebook for business has expanded rapidly in the past year. Social media services can be a great way to engage with your customers both current and future, to publicise your site and services and to listen to others in your industry to learn from them.

There are a bewildering array of services and tools to help you use them available. It is useful to consider where you can make the best use of your time by analysing the benefits each platform will offer you and how you can consolidate your efforts by feeding services into eachother, posting Twitter updates as Facebook status updates for example.

I can help you set up a social media presence and create a strategy to use it effectively. The results can be measured in most cases and with a little effort this activity can produce valuable results.

Copywriting and media production

If you are not confident to produce your own content I can assist you. I can create content to your specification, text, podcasts, movies and presentation stacks can all be effectively shared online. I can create the material myself or work as a producer/project manager for larger scale work.

I am happy to coach you or your staff into taking over this role. It is often better to have this communication produced in-house, but outsourcing can give you a strong start and establish a culture that can be picked up in-house later.
